I love this 'argument'. It perfectly shows the lack of awareness and lack of real facts known about city by other fans. Best of all, it blinds them to the sheer incompetence, by comparison, of the leadership and strategies of their own clubs.
Yes my friend. Our owners are so incredibly stupid that they're throwing away yet more millions on yet another stadium expansion, because us city fans just need a little more space. That's because we're all eating double on matchdays to keep that matchdays income on the rise. We're eating for 60k don't you know! Or maybe they're all paid extras, filling the seats and the we put in on expenses because we know we can cover it under 'football related expenses'.
Presumably we are also photoshopping fans into seats to fool the matchdays cameras. Probably with AI involved too. Then our owners have to have us sit in our seats for twenty minutes at the end of each game whilst they ship in hundreds of cars with drivers on our payroll, so we can make it look like getting away from the match was time consuming.
But why stop there? I mean, we've obviously been at the gene editing pool to produce Haaland, and the let him grow up under Ole's nose just to rub it in more. We're also actively encouraging players to buddy up and copy hairstyles - Doku and Akanji, Dias and Rodri etc - to fool opponents into marking the wrong player, whilst every actual city fan is personally driving more than they need to, accelerating global warming, just so they can fill up with more petrol at the pumps and line our owner's pockets even more.
Plus, if petrol prices go up yet again you just know that city are about to break the transfer world record for the umpteenth time. Just like all the other times when that happened, if you don't actually look at the records of course.
I'm a middle aged white guy, but even I find it quite funny, and slightly disturbing, to see all these full grown yet angry, ruddy faced blokes and lasses having tantrums about things not going their way, and I do suspect there is at least a suggestion of a racial undertone to their hatred. If not personally, then one fuelled by th media in their 'city are the bad guys' storylines.
Blame the money, we've spent less than some but been infinity more successful and have a clear structure and goals.
Blame cheating. We've been cleared once in an independent hearing and will be again. Take a look at those taking money out of English football if that's you're concern.
Blame oil. But certainly ignore the other investments and all round business acumin of our 'Arab' owners.
Blame empty seats. But never, ever actually check with your won eyes if the stadium is full. Ignore the season ticket waiting list, the expensive stand expansions, the investment in matchdays experience.
Blame bribery and corruption. Referees, VAR, CAS, surely one has to stick? The Rashford offside, the fine for non cooperation, that's just to cover it up.
Blame cooking the books. Clearly our auditors and investors are in on this too, several well respected and financially competent companies have been persuaded to cover for us in some late night ceremony. Goats were probably sacrificed too, and whose to say children aren't next to guarantee the silverware keeps coming.
Once you strip away the fallacies of their arguments, it seems to be there is not actually much left beyond ignorance, bitterness and potentially racial prejudice.
