Just make every player come out in an arm band.

Although I guess the players care more about the world cup than us fans do. I'd rather they just fucked it off and didn't bother.

I've just seen a reasonable suggestion on the BBC website:

" Ridiculously late notice on One Love. Get the 3rd choice keeper to start with the armband- take the yellow and sub them off. Maximum publicity, minimum disruption (other than losing a sub) and the chance for a player unlikely to get a game to become a legend."

Maybe a bit simplistic and not sure the goalkeeper would become a legend but sounds reasonable to me. When he is substituted the ordinary armband is then worn by whoever the Captain really is. Just an opinion. :-)

I'm usually dead against any sort of political stuff getting mixed into the game and have never really liked rainbow laces, taking the knee and all that stuff. This though is very much right time, right place - we all know FIFA have been bought but I'd like to see our side and the fa grow a pair.
