2022 World Cup Discussion

Has Hartson finally calmed down now? I'd love to know what our Welsh BMers made of his commentary last night. Were you wincing while listening to it? Or did you think that it was great that he was backing the team and bigging them up? Serious question, no wumming on my part.

It was a relief to hear him for me. I had the radio on to start the game as I’d just walked in work and it was Dion fucking Dublin again.

What's with the robotic refs?.
They blow for anything then sprint full on towards the area of the pitch of the so called incident.
I'm finding them quite disturbing if I'm honest

Maybe ask How do the wales fans feel when watching an England game and hearing the constant pro England stuff especially the obligatory 1966 nonsense.

For all the rhetoric from the pundits about Qatar and the WC problems, why are they there. I mean, you can sit around a table in the UK and have the same discussion about the game. They don’t physically need to be there to do their job. Roy Keane can be a miserable **** in a studio in salford and it’d make zero difference to his expert input. It’d make a point, save money and reduce their carbon footprint. Which they all bang on about.

So you want to refuse/knock back billions of pounds worth of contracts involving thousands of UK jobs and livelihoods (and probably let the French get it) because of their laws on homosexuality ?

How do you feel about buying Middle eastern oil ?
And there it is, there's the hypocrisy manifested in one sentence. So basically, what you're saying is, you're happy to take billions of pounds from the country when it benefits us, but when they want a football tournament in return you don your "down with Qatar" t-shirt? What we're seeing with this furore is selective moral outrage. You're either steadfast with your principles, or not at all. Not a single associated person has boycotted this event. Not a player, not a manager, not a journalist, not a presenter, not an executive. It's easy for Linekar et al to spout sporadic platitudes from the confines of a studio, and then return to suck on the teats of 7-star Qatari hospitality. The reality is, they don't really give a shit.

If they cared that much, they wouldn't be there.

I don’t like any pundit going over the Top tbh.
It’s Wales first World Cup since 58 so forgive a small amount of bluster. However It is cringeworthy at best although we do often hear it with England too.
Anyone supporting a team v Wales because “After all they hate the English” is possibly aligning to the most banal sweeping statement imaginable.
And finally we do not shag sheep

Often.
