Get fucked. I hope the Argies win it just to put one in his eye.This World Cup has had one of the best group stages so far. Besides upsets, even most of the drawn games (Morocco-Croatia) have been entertaining. Hoping that Ronaldo puts his issues behind him and emerges as a Champion. Would love to hear Messi and United fans cry.

Portugal is talented enough to make a deep run in this tournament.
It'll never happen with that petulant twat on the pitch. Refuses to pass to his teammates (who clearly hate him), and everything has to run through him. He's nowhere near good enough anymore to justify that.

The big “superstars” of world football never seem to turn up much at the big tournaments these days
Gone are the days of Zidane and the real Ronaldo, players considered at the very top of the game and turning up in world cup finals , scoring goals and winning it.
Mbappe did well in 2018 but he didn’t have the stature and pressure he does now. He was garbage in the euros last year. So let’s see how he does this tournament against stiffer competition than Australia.

Every team has played now. No city injuries yet is the main takeaway.
Have to say apart from the odd one or two upsets which were great, the rest of the games have been largely dull. Not a lot of goals in general unless there's a massive gulf in class and a few teams are getting twatted.
feels no different to a nations league mid season international break at the minute and nothing like a world cup.
The abysmal attendances and atmosphere have been a complete embarrassment to both fifa and Qatar. They paid a hell of a lot of money to get this world cup, the least they can do is ensure there's enough interest to fill what are modest sized stadiums and have them not leave at halftime. Complete shit show in that regard and has to be the poorest turnout in world cup history. I don't know why it hasn't been talked about more in the media.
Direct result of that has been lifeless atmospheres, no colour in the stands, that Brazil game tonight was the closest we've seen to a genuine world cup crowd and that was only half of one side.
Best thing to come out of it so far is without doubt the referees extra time initiative, seeing adequate time added for bullshit time wasting and other incidents has been a well overdue change, let's hope that's implemented across the domestic leagues soon.
An unintended benefit of so much extra time is the broadcasters were not prepared for it at all in their scheduling. there's about 15-20 extra minutes per game now which means barely any time for the likes of drugs cheat Rio to tell us how he called something to himself off air beforehand every single game.
