And ITV?Just been watching the opening ceremony and thought it was really good . BBC are a fucking disgrace for not showing it .

Yes I agree. This is a very good idea. As a long established collector of opening ceremonies of major global sporting events as presented by national television broadcasters, I was particularly disappointed on this occasion. I have of course taken appropriate action on behalf of the many collectors such as myself, and sent a strongly worded letter to the lovely Ms Daheley (copy TD Davie). Enough is enough I say. Bring the boys back home. Were the BBC a disgrace for showing the WSL match they had already agreed to show, or should they have aborted the WSL game at half time to pander to the Qatari’s change of timings?
Depends mate. Were either United or Liverpool playing? If so, get it canned. The opening ceremony was moved earlier by the Qatari FA at short notice.
The BBC had committed to showing a WSL match before their World Cup coverage began at 3pm for a 4pm kick off.
It was available to watch on the iPlayer should you have wanted to watch it.

Are you a long standing viewer of opening ceremonies, or is it just this one that wasn’t shown that has provoked your ire?

What has Saka done to deserve his inclusion?Only good thing to come out of last night is he now may make changes. I’d like to see:
Walker. Stones. Maguire
Arnold. Shaw
Rice. Or philipps
Saka. Foden. Grealish
Kane or Wilson
