All-time great final but it still doesn’t make up for the fact that this stupid tournament is the reason we lost to Brentford. And to be honest, we’ve not really got going at the start of this season.

We’ve never played well two-games in a row. We have been poor for our standards in a number of games: Newcastle, first half against Palace, Villa away, Wolves away was arguably our most disjointed performance despite the win, second half against United, Dortmund home and away, Copenhagen away, Liverpool away, Brighton at home despite the win, Leicester away despite the win, Brentford at home… all well below our standards and all because of the World Cup for me, players looking ahead to it.

A corrupt FIFA being bribed by a corrupt Qatar World Cup committee, putting on a domestic football ruining Winter World Cup.

Haaland and Mahrez haven’t played for weeks and will be rusty as fuck and run the risk of picking up injuries with so many games coming up. John Stones got injured.

Thank fuck it’s out of the way and I never want to see one again… roll on Thursday!

Really enjoyed this years World Cup. Thought it had some great games and drama. Some upsets and only a small amount of dross. The final was immense.

Congratulations Argentina I’m happy for pablo and Sergio well done to Julian Alvarez as well! World Cup winners medal will look great against a league champion one ;-)
