Don't think I'll watch it tbh. We won't be there (Ireland) and I'm uncomfortable with how it was awarded. Plenty of other sports on that time of year and there's always the PS5, plus the only way FIFA will ever cop on is if the viewing figures are destroyed.

I'll watch as much of it as I can to start with for the first weekend but my lack of caring will no doubt quickly see me skip the overwhelming majority of the group games, only having it on as background noise when I'm not doing something else.

Never have I wanted a world cup to be over with before it's even started. It's just like one long stretch of international friendlies to me where my primary interest in it is city players not getting injured.

We can all say fuck fifa but they've got what they wanted, they'll make an absolute killing from it and those unhappy about it won't vote with their wallets, it will be a roaring success for them unfortunately.

Group E is tricky,but if Germany wins the group instead of Spain,the odds become 25/1

Belgium are 8/15 to win their group,which if you are a big punter is buying money for me.

Very true and all a bit strange as other sports like F1 and all the sponsors go to these countries all the time - and then we have Egypt 4th on list as regards human rights but just had COP27 here and not a word I recall in media about human rights abuse here? Then we have 30+ commonwealth countries were being gay is illegal but they go to the games and nowt said..... I think its about football here and media as nowt said when other sports go to these places.....very selective.......
