Was getting right into jumps at one point but then grew aggrieved at how it's spoiled so often. Watching the magnficent animals before hand then seeing them die.
Same as boxing for me. Eubank Vs Benn was the most enthralling sport I ever watched. Oh well. Years later, I'm glad I'm never falling for that again.
Maybe you can't have that excitement, holding your breath as they take another jump. Leaping out of your seat as your brain recognises someone else's last chance, all but dead defence system spark into action.
Grand National is a farce. I don't think of it as a good jump race. More a perverse lucky dip.
I'd couch that with IMVHO but couldn't resist it. Don't like what I say? I don't think people really like hearing what this stuff is. Some have to know it's true, but turn a blind eye, for one or another reason. I don't moan about that, life is hard, people need ways to feel happy and alive. But... you know. Don't wanna read about it from another angle? Don't go on forums or social media. Cannot tell you how many times I've been aggrieved, wound up, insulted, confused, by forums or the net. It's not even like a pub... because no one gets sparked out, then it all gets said.
That isn't changing or going away any time soon. And neither is what people like me think about this spectacle of death and chance wrapped up as sport.
