2024 - a tough year or a good one?

My health has taken another turn for the worst , immense pain , living on ten plus different meds. Been told nothing more can be done for my pain condition and so life is hard 24/7, dont want a long life , cant do this many more years

Merlin had two teeth out after a few months in pain , i took him to the vet twice, teeth checked every time but none of them spotted the problem , they wanted to charge me a ton of money to sedate him to get a better look but i said can you just hold him properly and he will let you do it , anyhow two teeth and nearly £800 later ! Dont get me started on pet insurers , twats

He is like a diferent cat , even lets me pick him up and cuddle him , first time in four years so that is nice for both of us

I dont believe in saying next year will be better , there is no reset , nothing magical happens on the first of jan !

Up the blues

So sorry to hear that Karen. Take care, hang in there, and stay strong

A decent year for me.

17 years since my heart attack but still here !

Bought myself the long promised camper van.

Youngest son got married.

City were champs yet again.

Even achieved a semi one month, although I can’t remember which month or what I did with it.

Plodding onward and upward!
What van did you get pal, I’m still waiting for my cash, this time of year is ideal to buy one as well, so I’m going to have to wait until next winter now, if I ever get my money!

After being set on a VW for ages, I did a late swerve and got a Toyota Alphard instead.

Reasons:
- Really good, trustworthy converter near me
- Petrol engine with auto gearbox vs diesel and mostly manual
- More refined, being based on an up-market MPV rather than a builder’s van
- And, connected to that, an easy previous life.

The VW has several advantages too but I’m happy with my choice.

Good luck with getting yours, mate.

Bit of shitter for me, a fave auntie passed a few months ago then out of the blue my old man last week.

It was his and our favourite time of the year so not sure how that will feel going forward.,,

I just realised I said me, I won’t be the only blue going through this at this time no doubt.

A month or so left so I don't want to tempt fate, old habits die hard being a long suffering blue.
Personally aside from a few niggles that come with ageing and everything rising in price it's been reasonable.
The world however is pretty depressing to say the least. Wars, the threat of world war 3 and hatred and division seems to be everywhere. All you can do is try and ignore it, hard I know and soldier on, concentrating on family, friends and what makes you happy.
Here's hoping 2025 brings more peace, harmony and love.
Bloody he'll PC, I thought you meant you had a month left !!!

Tough one here . Lost both my pets within six weeks of each other the house feels so empty without them . No waggy welcome or the cat pleading to be fed . It’s hard to get used to.
I'd like your post blue but it seems inappropriate.
Really tough losing a loved pet.

Just remember you gave them a great life whilst they were here..

An odd year so far.
Architecture is up and down, some clients flying and some battening down the hatches.
I need more scribbling and colouring in to do if anyone has any requirements?

Generally a top year, works booming ten more staff than last year everyone's earning decent money still healthy touch wood only downside how do you get old so quick.
