Cheers palGood chance if we beat USA. It might come down to NRR if WI beat SA.

I would imagine if we beat USA it would be very difficult for both West Indies and South Africa to both get better run rates than EnglandHave we still got a chance of progressing or is that it now?
Each pitch you play on is different. I’m assuming you’ve never actually played on a slow pitch, so are deciding that professionals should be able to smash every ball out of the park regardless of conditions.
It doesn’t work like that, as we’ve seen today and throughout cricketing history.
Nah, you have unrealistic expectations. Most batsmen fail more than they succeed in T20 cricket.Key to the question is professional 20/20 cricketers play on all types of wickets all year round
I could understand 1 or 2 struggling but Brook and Livingstone did ok, World-class 20/20 professionals watch the ball out of the hands, It's all about preparation and watching videos of the bowlers,
We should have won today and the bowlers did their part, Brook and Livingstone dragged us back into it, but it was always going to be the lack of powerplay runs that killed us.

Each match is won and lost by how many batsmen get in and score. Generally it’s between 1-3.
However many videos you watch, you cannot be prepared for any pitch before experiencing it first hand.
No fun being an England cricket/football supporter nowadays
We could have gone harder and been 50-5 after the power play. It’s the gamble every time. But how can you get in if the batsman is still in but scoring only 1s and 2s, You have to Gamble early on in the powerplay, Ok the ball was holding a bit in the wicket but you are world-class, So after a couple, You should understand the conditions and adjust to it,
Buttler and Bairstow should know better and Smash or Get Out, Both face 40 balls between them for 33 runs in the powerplay, NOT good enough
