2025/26 NFL

Meanwhile Da Bears are somehow Kings of the NFC North...don't think anyone had them as the dark horses at the beginning of the season.

Interesting to note Dan Campbell now taking over the offensive plays for the Lions does look like Ben Johnson really was a key cog in their machine & beginning to show his coaching attributes for Chicago.
hard to say how it’s gonna pan out in the North. Packers aren’t quite consistent enough, lions are very erratic, bears don’t look great but keep
winning. Only team I would discount is the Vikings.

Lions have 3 home games against the giants, packers and cowboys. Win those 3 and get a few players back healthy and things could look a lot different.

Bears now have to play the Pennsylvania teams, the Cheeseheads, twice, and then travel to San Francisco. This weekend may prove the season’s high-water mark, but the omens are favourable.

Bengals D took being the worst defence in NFL history I guess. Somehow we’ve shut out the Pats! Maye is having a terrible game so far, missing wide open throws and now a pick 6! (Please let it last)

The Browns fanbase have been at each others throats for weeks. Mostly, because of the Gabriel-Sanders debate.

There has been a lot of conspiracy nonsense (eg NFL teams colluded not to draft Sanders to spite his dad and he fell in the draft due to racism). Sanders followers and plenty of bots have pushed this narrative for months on social media and in the last few weeks have moved on to the Browns coaches being so bad they cannot see he is better than Gabriel who has been starting ahead of him. Apparently, the Browns are racist (of all the fecking teams to call racist) and are sabotaging his career on purpose. Lunatics.

To see him come on and be objectively worse than Gabriel (who has been bad) was, as odd as it sounds as I am a Browns fan, I was relieved and smug about it. He may have some positives such as accuracy and he throws with more zip than Gabriel but he abandons the pocket after his first read is not open and drifts backwards leading to sacks many yards behind the line of scrimmage. He is miles off being an NFL QB.

To those who remember Bernie Kosar (Browns QB in 80s and 90s), this weekend he went in to hospital for a liver transplant. He has had numerous health issues down the years and it's sad to see him suffer so much as he was a great QB and is a good dude. Hoping he pulls through.

Just happened to notice that the Kansas game was live on Channel 5 last night. Never knew they had games. Is it a new thing?

Mind you, I only saw 2 minutes of it and the presenter was horrendous, so I doubt I could sit through a full game of that anyway.

Dermott O’Leary and that insufferable Sam Quek . As soon as I knew it was them it was straight to the fire stick for the US feed

I didn't realise it was those two. I was watching another 6pm game and only tuned in for the overtime when it had finished. So it was on for literally about 5 minutes.

It's great having the option of any game you like on the American channels but I prefer to watch Sky if it's on there.

I could only find the game I wanted on The Armed Forces channel the other week and the adverts were sending me fucking doolally before the end of the first quarter.

Philadelphia were on 5 Action or whatever channel its called. Slowly started to watch games. Don't really understand the rules yet but Dallas weren't great and Philly were lucky they got the ball back for the penalty on the guy kicking it. Only watched the first half and just seen they threw it away!

I've been watching it 40 years and still have no idea about some of the rules.

In the unlikely event that I live for another 40 years, the chances of me understanding what an ineligible receiver reporting as eligible means, are about zero.

Sunday evenings after the real football has finished is all about redzone which is free on sky every Sunday. Unless the 6pm game is your team, redzone all the way for me.

Redzone is free??

I have Sky, but only have access to Sports via Sky Go..... been watching Redzone on ipad all year!

Not really. One INT and one TD (the throw went zero yards but Sampson ran the 66) when well protected by the OL. Take that Sampson play away, and he had about 140 yards and a completion rate of about 50%. It is a copy cat league. Opponents will start working on his weaknesses now they have some film on him wearing a Browns jersey. He will face much better defenses in the coming weeks.

Not to rub it in but the Raiders were really bad. About as bad a team I have watched in the NFL in the last 5 years. I feel for the Raiders fans. I read somewhere that the pressure rate on Geno was 43% despite an average time to throw of 2.65 seconds lol

I think your management did the right thing binning off Chip Kelly. He has only had success at college level and been bad in the NFL. You will hopefully see some improvement in the next few weeks.
