2026 Community Shield | Millennium Stadium | Sun 16th Aug, 3pm

Ive never been to Cardiff
I drive for each Wembley visit using the same guys driveway.
Any advice which side of the stadium is best to choose for getting away from the stadium heading back to sunny Manchester??
unfortunatley, it wont matter which side we are, getting in and out of cardiff by car will be a fooking nightmare mate.

To me this sums up the unprofessional way the game is run.
Wembley, we are told is the show piece for football matches and yet, the FA can't talk to the Premier League about when the season starts and therefore, when Wembley is needed for this out dated fixture.

Its similar to putting City v Arsenal on a Sunday, 4.30pm, the same day the Manchester marathon is held (with a record number of entries)

Wankers

Make no mistake due to the world cup.
We will both put out very inexperienced teams for sure.
But with it not being at Wembley am confident we will take a decent following.
I am already looking forward to taking my grandson to a stadium we've both not been before.CTID
its a magnificent stadium right in the heart of the city. loads of bars etc wrapped around it.
im moist with excitement :-)

They’ve probably looked at the maths in what they can make selling tickets for concerts compared to a football match. Concert tickets are a lot more expensive than what their pricing would be for a friendly, plus they can get more people in attendance wise with the pitch area being used for standing.

They can then make even more money holding the game in Cardiff and take their percentage off the ticket sales.

I don't live far from cardiff these days if anyone wants any advice then drop me a message

Specially with our slow txt sales tbh..i know all the reasons why, and a fair few are pretty unique to City.... but we are def on the 'risk list' re wembley matches - it's a bad look for the FA in reality.

Nice change
Go here every 2 years for Eng away six nations
Direct train in under an hour from Cheltenham is an easy trip

You will love it, its a great place. The stadium is right in the middle with boozers galore all around it. Unfortunately though the transport links in and out are a nightmare. The M4 around there is not fit for purpose and main roads in are busy. Travel aside, it will be a great day, and the stadium itself is outstanding
