2026 Winter Olympics

Didn't know it was possible to cheat at curling but the Canadians may have been caught doing so.

Looks pretty clear that he touches the stone with his finger after it was already released.

Caused quite a stir

Not penalised for it though.

Damn Wildlings !

Well done that man! I wonder if there’s a special tray built in to hold those huge huevos
The guy is an absolute Maine Head!

He broke his back competing in Twkondo when he was 21! He then recovered and decided that he wanted to see if sliding head first at 90mph on a tea tray with no brakes, would cripple him!

He will get hurt one of these days, Nobody like a show off!

ha ha!

In fairness, she did crash and break her leg requiring extensive surgery, so perhaps not the best decision she ever made.
It was obviously a stupid decision, that might result in her having her leg amputated! but that clearly wasn't my point!

My point was about her strength and determination to compete in the Olympics, 9 days after rupturing her ACL, because she wanted it so much!

She has said that she would do it again and regrets nothing. She will also be forever remembered as a true Olympic hear for her bravery.

Some people would say that it was the bravest decision any Olympian has ever made since Jessie Owen choosing to embarrass Hitler in his own back yard!

At least she had the guts to try!

I was trying to make a comparison to Footballers who take 9 month to start jogging with the same injury BTW!

I know you’re not saying different but her crash had nothing to do with her knee problems

Maybe footballers should just carry on playing with their torn ACLs then? Or would the right medical advice be to have surgery and allow it to heal rather than taking part in a sport that's known for being damaging to knees (skiing and football)?

Bravest? Not a chance. Darwin award attempt, definitely

Wow that Cross Country relay was excellent. That poor Swedish girl falling over twice, losing her ski and still managing to get her team back from 8th to 2nd on the first leg and then the next three pulling everything out of the bag to end with the silver.
But the gap for the Norwegians in first place over 1 minute ahead. Really enjoyed that race.

A bit more short track skating, and the relays are even more crazy than individual races.

Just for a change (oh, okay, it happens every race), the USA team fell, this time when the first changeover push knocked the new skater to the ice.

Gutting for the British lad in the speed skating, Chinese skater took him out from behind.

VAR blamed the British lad, just as shit in their sport too.

That was brilliant to watch, he knew he was winning it, didn't flinch once, didn't watch anyone else do a run.

What's been so good is the camaraderie from everyone no matter where they finish.

Then I watched that video on the previous page, so sad to watch those young people who have died for their country.
Iv'e also really enjoyed seeing how genuinely happy and proud every other competitor is for the eventual Gold Medalist!

That is all down to respect, no excuses or blaming anyone, just accepting that the best man won!

It makes me laugh how footballers think it is cool to refuse to wear runners up medal after a final loss, and act all unhappy. They still get paid millions no matter what and soon forget it!

Every Olympian who has ever won a silver medal wore it with pride, and posed with the winner, all after dedicating 4 years of their life training for a dream, and depending on grants/sponsors for a basic wage!
