Might be reactionary, but all of his good performances with us are as striker, not wide, might as well have him be our rotation option there then with Kevin out.

Foden and Mahrez can only get rotation with Sterling if we are winning, that's the way to go right now imo.

Is he really better than Jack Harrison ?

Think so. Jack seems a player that works his bollocks off but not top level quality.

Surely we would have had interest from better clubs than Leeds if he was good enough for our squad.

No because he quickly realized he can’t beat EPL defenders with pace. I’ve seen zero dribbling skills with him, no trickery.

He is 20 yo playing for the best team in the country, in the hardest league, in his first year after recovering from Covid. I would give him at least one more season untill I would expect great things from him. Playing now and then, in a weakened team surely isn't helping him. He is playing and scoring for Spain, so for sure he is a brilliant footballer, but Pep is not helping him right now.

It wasn't working yesterday but Jesus and Sterling was rotating upfront so not sure why he didn't try Torres there

Ive not once watched him play and been impressed with his contribution. He goes missing almost every game he plays. I’m not sure whether I buy in to this “it’s his first season and getting used to the way city play” either.

That argument has been made for the likes of Bernardo, sane, etc but we could see that those players were special and had a bit of magic about them. I just don’t see it with Torres. Has he taken on a full back since he’s arrived? That’s a genuine question too as I genuinely don’t think he has?

He deserves more slack than Sterling because he’s not exactly had a run of games and he only gets selected when our “B-side” plays but I’m starting to doubt his quality.

Time will tell, and I hope I’m wrong but at the moment I just don’t see it. I’ve thought that for a while.
