Have to imagine a night like this, a kane or Haaland bags a match ball. Unlucky with the ruled out goal, that was fractionsfrom a very good goal but otherwise not enough from him.

He makes a lot of good runs but he doesn't have enough about him to turn them into something, the ball has to be perfect for him to come on to it and finish instantly otherwise they're wasted runs as he won't burst by anybody with pace, won't out muscle a defender to get passed them, won't beat them with a bit of trickery.

With our midfielders coming back, false 9 will see a return for the upcoming big games and he will be on the bench for a while.

Fairly anonymous last night, unfortunately.I'd ike him to put himself about a bit more, let defenders know he's on the pitch,as he appears to play much of the game in second gear with the occasional flash of brilliance.

Obviously brand new to the role and learning,so to be expected in part.

Were you at the match? He is creating loads of space for others. He was pulling defenders all over the place and made several fantastic runs not picked out by other players and the one chance he did get he put away in a fashion that we have not seen in a while (all be it offside) in fact his two marginally disallowed goals this season have been superb finishes.

Uptop is a very specialized position, he is still learning and is on a very steep learning curve.
The progress he has made in his short time up top is remarkable by any standard.
He has the touch, knows how to find the back of the net- these things cant be taught ( Sterling case in point)

The runs and lines that he takes are getting better every game.

He just need to work on his hold up play and creating an angle/opportunity for him self when defenders close to him and when he has his back to goal.

A criticism of late was that he wasnt getting involved and often disappeared during games, last night he was getting involved in our build up, a quick learner is our Ferran. He is picking things up like a sponge.

Give him 12 months and I certainly believe we will have a class player our hands.
He probably will get in the region of 15 goals in the prem this season which is not bad at all.
He probably also needs to ad 3kg -5kg of solid muscle and we will have some player on our hands.

Not everybody is a Kun Aguero, alot of short sighted individuals

The goal against Norwich was not offside it was a foul in the build up, but agree with everything that you said

He is making runs and making space very well. He can finish and seems to be picking up the role quickly. I think he is hampered as we have played largely without a 9 for 12 mths and the rest of the team are not seeing his runs or are ignoring them. What I like is that he keeps on making them, so over time, he will learn and the team will learn his strengths and we will have some player

I'm happy with Torres as our main striker. I love the runs he is making. I do agree that he is a bit lightweight for the ball holding role. Jesus is much more rough and tumble. But I like Jesus out wide more.

And then there is Sterling who'll cause all sorts of trouble through the middle when he comes on. (Could be a super sub)

And Delap if he regains fitness and form witht he kids and is given a go.

And a gazillion false 9s.

And all before January when Haaland rocks up. :-)

A Kane or Haaland may have scored 3, but what’s or who’s to say it would t have been 3-3?

I agree, false 9 in the biggest games, otherwise there’s no where to play De Bruyne.

Took his goal really well. Shame it was disallowed. Makes lots of great runs that aren't always picked out but contribute to making space for others. Very happy with him in that role.

Still got some learning to do of course but he really could be something special.
