Just has no presence, which for the big games is a huge problem. For a guy that's all about finishing, he should have buried 2/3 today. Fine for the walkover games when we can carry a player maybe even 2, not the big games.

I thought he was good and people are being harsh. Do you think a world class striker has a screamer every game? aguero had these matches often too.

Which two? One is a shot with his left foot where he is surrounded by 3 defenders. The other is a good pass by Gundogan, but the pass was not penetrant enough, so he's going to the side and his shoot there was actually really good (it was the only possible definition). There was one pass from Laporte that he could have shoot quicker, but I have 0 doubts that he is, with difference, our best shooter (only Gundogan comes close).

Fair about I just thought he should scored the one gundogan passed to him but yeah tough! It what’s happens when you’ve had the beast striker the premier has seen!

Im hoping and praying he proves me wrong but he just doesnt quite do it for me. He can have huge chunks of the game where you forget hes on the pitch. And that , in our team/set up in particular, isnt good enough

I suspect the players and management team at the club think he is a gem.

Tbf to the lad, whenever there was space to run into it looked like his head was on, and he made some great runs at times. Although his finishing wasn't quite there, I think his choice of shots were correct and he was never too far away from getting it right.

I don't think he's yet good enough to play the deeper central role, although maybe he will be soon enough. I think like with how Aguero showed, he only needs to be a certain level of good coming deep as his other abilities will do the rest.

Very hard worker too.

Top post...agree with the analysis.

Ferran seems to have the surprising natural goal scoring instincts when inside the box but struggles to come back deep & hold the ball like Kun or even Kane with link up play. Hope to be proved wrong but can’t see him improving on this as it’s all about strength & stature & he’s built more like a winger.
