What City need is a forward player that can regularly score against packed defences and can do the stuff that Pep wants.

Worth remembering that he is/was viewed as a Foden level talent in Spain. In the u17 Euros final, the headline billing was Sancho and Foden vs Torres & Abel Ruiz.

14 goals in 22 games for Spain is pretty absurd at 21. Fernando Torres took 36 to get that many, David Villa took 31 and Raul took 26.

Exactly,and while he is still very young and very talented,and i hope he does go on to be a worldie......i have to be realistic and wonder where exactly he can nail down a place in our side.
I think he needs regular first team football now,and he isn't even close to that.

He needs to be playing every game and you’d see him flourish. But like you said, he’s not going to get afforded that time at City. Playing him against the likes of Burnley and Watford is not a problem as they’re that much a of threat going forward.

From the first time I saw him I thought he's special. He's the best finisher we have at the club.
If we choose to play non scoring midfielders/wingers as a 9 then he'll obviously end up at Madrid or Barca.

The 3 in possession are Jesus, Foden and Grealish.

Personally while Jack has been tidy on the left, not losing the ball etc, Foden is much more dangerous there.

So for me
Jesus, Ferrán and Phil.

It is no easy task being a 'striker' for City. We create a host of chances but face packed defences every week with no space in behind. This means we need technical excellence in front of their defence and the ability to find the gaps - there'll be few better than Torres for us.
