Don’t think the lad got a sweat on today. Could probably get away with not having a shower after his performance today

I get that but my issue is that we’ve seen plenty at this club who were clearly no worse than Torres who didn’t get a sniff. One of um ripped it up in Germany and has just signed for them cnuts across the road. Even now, Pep wouldn’t go into the season with Delap up top. Delap is no worse than Torres.

Torres is youngster, trying to break into league cup team level, but because we paid actual money for him, he is in the side. We have better academy players who cost us nothing that won’t get a game.

So true this. We have academy players better than Ferran fucking Torres, but because they are not being bought for 20 mil, they will not get the same chances as him. FFS this kid is nowhere near city material at the moment.

The Sky lot seem to think he played well, don’t see it myself.
That miss was worse than it looked initially. It would have been a simple tap in if he’d taken it with his right foot.

Thought he did alright personally. When it did come to him, it didn’t bounce off him like we often see with whoever is up top.

Annoyingly I thought he was gonna be like Sane and have this ridiculous pace but immense dribbling ability too but doesn’t seem to be the case.

I’m not entirely sure what he is yet. I think we’ll find out this season when most Pep signings come good.

Doesn’t look like a forward, irrespective of his goals, and we’ve not seen enough of him out wide to judge his strengths there. If Walker digs in behind him and we get Kane as a target, then we might see some of the deliveries he perfected at Valencia.

But typical City fans big up someone who does something decent despite being anonymous for the rest of the game.
We have a few like that at present and I fear we are not cutting our losses quick enough and they are blocking development of Academy players.

All I can think of is the wages and facilities we offer.
Players would face a huge reality check in leaving us.
