He was world class when we signed him. He got badly injured. Playing for us.

He cannot give any more, it’s not in him.

One can only hope that was the reason Reese James was having a jolly against him down the wing every time!

He can whip the ball in, but he can’t defend, has no pace, and his recovery runs mean he is running INSIDE to cover for a CB who has to come to his rescue.

Today, we tried to blunt that a bit with a 5/3 across the back, but Reese James just ended Mendy’s top, top flight career.

He has been found out too many times to put it down to a bad performance. Reese James chested the ball past him and ran. Within 10m, he was 5m ahead. Some of that was Mendy’s defensive body position (terrible) and some of it was down to lack of pace (embarrassing), but it highlighted his defensive frailties.

Walker is our RB, Zin is our LB. Cancelo, Ake & Laporte can all cover those two positions. If not, we need a young LB on the cheap!

Yeah there's no need for the hate, he's trying but it's just not happening for him. What an expensive flop this will turn out to be, if we sell him for peanuts in the summer.

He spent two years on the treatment table with gruelling recovery programmes , i am not a Mendy fan at all , and he is now a liabilty but injuries have ruined his City career , if winning the lottery is two years of pain and frustration i would give it a miss.
