Don’t disagree. The acquisition and development of players has been off for a number of windows, and it should be critiqued. If we had a trial summer and put Reis, Doyle, Simpson-Pusey, Khusanov, and Bah to the test, I think we would strengths and weaknesses in each, but I think we’d also see that not one is first-team ready. Challenging times.Yes but shouldnt this have all been agrred with pep and board of what page were on? Before the January splurge? It all screams of panic in January. If pep didnt want them 2 CBs why buy them?
Id personally like him to stay next year.I am really looking forward to seeing more of Vitor in the first-team.

These young players are the smarter ways to pad the squad than older ones, they want to impress more, and not the players I believe Pep was describing when he said ones who lack motivation when they dont play (Grealish).

Intriguingly, sources suggested that Guardiola was hoping to have a look at Reis as a No 6 in the club’s Under 21s team – but the chronic injury crisis, meaning Reis was needed on the first-team bench more than envisaged, put paid to that idea.Id personally like him to stay next year.

That was in a Gaughan interview recently. Least we know Pep has a personal interest in developing him when he can, expects him to be 4th/5th choice kept around next season.

Their immediate futures may be determined by other outgoings and incomings. If it's a choice between hanging around for League Cup ties and cameos at 3-0 up or a season of solid football, however, they'll develop faster elsewhere.Would hate to see him get loaned out next season. Can’t see it mate as knowing us he will be loaned out next season . Was excited when we signed these players in January only to have it drained from me by pep’s reluctance to even try them .I am really looking forward to seeing more of Vitor in the first-team.
