23 RIP

I remember going to Maine Road to leave some tributes and you could smell the sea of flowers as you turned off Claremont Road. We all thought we'd said goodbye to Maine Road a few weeks before, and here we were again wandering round in shock and silence. RIP Smiler.

If you haven't visited the Remembrance Garden at the Etihad, there is a monument to Marco.

Kevin Cummins took it for the last season of Maine Road coffee table book. Great picture really captures the man. He was a massive loss, was becoming a huge player for us second half of that season.

Thanks for the info about Marc. Like you said he was becoming a huge player for us and who knows what levels he could have reached.
