Has to start at CB in every important match when fit.
Or A Tale of Two Cities? Is that a quote from Dickens?
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.Or A Tale of Two Cities?
I like him at CB, but you're not utilizing his goal-scoring ability when he plays there.Has to start at CB in every important match when fit.
Did he go off injured? Hope not. Big fan of this lad. As is my missus sadly
oh there you go again, gvardiol haters never miss a chance to add more shit to an already huge pile.I have never seen a centerback so hellbent on never making a tackle, ever, no matter what, as much as this guy. He is so incredibly weak in the tackle, weak in the air, just weak. unimposing, second to every ball. Not seeing it at all with this guy.

oh and if that assist was by one of the fan favorites there’d be 20 pages about it, hypocrites.
can’t tackle, sure jan
Gvardiol had the highest percentage of tackles won of all players in the PL last season. He puts a tackle in when it’s needed, when it’s not he stays on his feet like all good defenders should.I have never seen a centerback so hellbent on never making a tackle, ever, no matter what, as much as this guy. We will struggle until we get quicker defenders as one defender out of six who has pace will not cut it winning trophy’s . Gvadiol needs pace next to him and I’m sure next big transfer will be a quick defender .He did look slow against Monaco's pacy players. Nico O'Reilly covered him a few times.
But that's the problem with the whole team isn't it.. we look really slow when the counter attack is on unless Khusanov and O'Reilly are there.
I am blown away by those stats! Wow. I take it back, i must be not seeing it. I will try to look at his performances a little closer next time, see if I am right or not. Because these concerns have been building up for me over the course of the last few seasons, but maybe I am just missing something.Gvardiol had the highest percentage of tackles won of all players in the PL last season. He’s also the second best defender aerially in our team behind Stones. He’s only 6’1” but he’s better in the air than Dias (and Akanji, although he’s out on loan).
He had his worst game since coming back from injury the other night, but before then he’d played well in every game and had settled the back four after returning to the team from injury. Dias looks better alongside him than when he play with anyone else.

Nunes has pace :)Well bah is fast. Same with Khusanov - including another RB we would be set. As long the RB has pace too.
I know but I didn’t include him in the future. Our safest option in terms of counters would beNunes has pace :)
Khusanov started as a centre-back at Brighton (a) when Dias was available. He got injured in that game.I know but I didn’t include him in the future. Our safest option in terms of counters would be
Nunes-Khusanov - Gvardiol - Reilly
But we know it won’t happen this season. One of the Stones/Dias will always start at CB in front of Khusanov.
