Have to remember that he was single-handedly covering a huge expanse of the pitch for much of the game, which allowed O’Reilly and Doku to stay far, far upfield. Understandably tired in the last 30 minutes and mistimed a few things. Having Ait-Nouri fitter and ready to come on earlier would help.

Struggled towards the end, but I felt he did a lot of really good defending early on, especially when Dortmund were on top at the beginning of the game

As defenders go, he is extremely comfortable on the ball. It makes zero sense, how someone so comfortable in possession, produces ‘WTF are you doing’ moments game after game.

He can't keep starting if he just constantly passes it to the opposition, Khusanov should partner Dias unless he cuts the errors, you're a CB mate not a winger, keep it simple.

He’s a good defender but it’s his passing. I don’t know what he sees sometimes. He’s trying to execute passes that either aren’t on, or aren’t even there to make. It’s bizarre.

Players lose possession but Gvardiol consistently loses it with crazy actions. He keeps dropping us in the shit. Thankfully for the most part, we’ve gotten away with it this season.
