Absolute class tonight, everything he did was brilliant, the goal was the just the icing on the cake, 35 years old and showed the french fry haired tosser how to do it.

I didn’t want to bring him into it. I’m not a fan (of Rodri but can also see why others like what he brings) but I wanted to keep this about Fernandinho and his performance.

Fernandinho isn’t the future in that position but his ability to move the ball quickly there makes a big difference to our play. When we sign his actual replacement we should focus on that ability as a primary need.

We have been blessed with some class midfielders in the last 10 years and Fernandinho is one of the best Ever in that position.
