Stones has played 55 games at right-back in his domestic career, so it would have to be one heck of an emergency for us to use Akanji there.

Agreed, probably won't happen unless it's Pep wanting to try him there for tactical reasons.

Otherwise he'd be fourth choice at right back behind Walker, Cancelo and Stones. And fifth choice at left back behind Cancelo, Gomez, Ake and Laporte.

As soon as he gets up to speed he’ll get game time playing at centre-back. With four other centre-backs it’s important that he gets used to playing with them all, even if that means coming off the bench.

So composed and effective in his distribution. Tailor made for us it would seem from this tonight.
 
Apparently the transfer was a complete surprise to him. Imagine getting a phone call from Dortmund to be told City want you to sign for them! You would just think someone was having a joke with you.
