He really hasn’t been good recently. He’s had a few productive moments but the vast majority of his play has been just as poor as today. Incomprehensible how he gets picked ahead of Bernardo

I don't agree with you because if you check his rating every game recently will know the word poor is not right to say about his performance

A lot of members on here are now throwing him under the bus. Why is he singled out ? knowing that he had an excellent first half and gave Keven, Kun and Raheem lovely passes that could/ should have changed the fate of the game. Keven was atrocious today and so were Raheem and Kun and stats speak for themselves. Denying his contribution this season and his top notch performance because of one poor corner is just ridiculous, over the top and out of line.

Out of line hahahahaha.

Nobody has singled him out today, just read the rest of the forum.

He did, however, play fucking awfully. He refused pretty much outright to pass to a better placed De Bruyne on numerous occasions and played one of the worst short corners I’ve witnessed to this day which led to them scoring.

So, he had a shit day at the office and you cannot debate that.

He is a top quality player no one on BM doubts that. The problem is - Is he suited to a team that dominates possession or is he more effective in a team that plays on the counter? For us he seems to take too much time to make a decision on passing and often cuts inside and shoots. Yes that has worked out at times but today was a cameo of his entire period with us. Nice touches but gave the ball away too many times. The corner thing can happen to any player and I don't base my summary on that alone. More concerning for me is the times he refused to slip Kev in who, after a few started to get frustrated. As I said before he is a top footballer but perhaps he is just not suited to moving the ball quickly to feet in our system. We miss the blistering pace of Sane and Raheem's dip have not helped but this is the time when a player of his quality stands up and wins games.
