Would have pictures of the many actions where he left two or defenders looking for the ball? Thank you in advance.

The poster is right.

I’m sure with more time under Pep his game will get even better.

There’s some really good stuff and some poor stuff with his game. It’s not as black and white as people make it with the whole “he’s great” or “he’s shite”. Sometimes he does great things and sometimes shite.

He’s a very talented footballer, used to being the main man and doing so attacking defences with less numbers than City, whilst trying to get a run in the side.

This time next year he’ll be having games like yesterday 7/8 times out of 10.

He did very well yesterday and it was great to see him finally going forward by challenging the fullback. I hope Pep starts him against Wolves as he need to continue like this. It's the only way he will find his form and consistency. No more stupid rotations please.

Although he did great, he still has to cut out a few behaviours where he seem more keen on doing things neatly instead of just playing easy. This is at 47 minutes, four against three, where KDB has all the space in front of him, and Mahrez feel that cutting inside here instead of just playing an easy throughball to Kevin seemed like a good idea. He still has to polish this because against better opposition, we won't get many chances and I hope they analyze stuff like this. It's criminal to not pass Kevin here as he comes running at fullspeed.

What's interesting here is you can see what Mahrez is going for. If the cut in works then assuming De Bruyne continues his run out wide, then a ball to set Jesus through on goal would be on.

That sums up the big factor that he hasn't yet quite fully adapted to the team's style of play, as if he were he would have played the simple ball to De Bruyne, in tune with the rest of the team.

Now at this stage, he should maybe be past that point. However if he's still improving in the sense then it's well worth the patience.

Anyway, would be hilarious to see a picture of those defenders looking for the ball !!!

And what do you think now after his stunning performance last night ? Man of the match based on stats and judgement of many specialized platforms and experts who arguably know more about football than lay fans like you and me. By the way, he has been singled out as man of the match on at least four occasions this season despite his seldom cameos.

No surprise you’re making an appearance after he puts in a good display. I’ll eat my own words once he starts consistently putting in these sort of performances. My opinion hasn’t changed just because of one game.

WHAT ONE GAME ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT ?

He's been here 2 years and is 28.

If there was going to be a big change in his game, we'd have almost definitely seen it by now. He'll likely always be inconsistent, frustrating and yet productive with goals and assists.

Right, Pep, don’t do what you’ve always done after every time Mahrez has had a cracking game..... DO NOT DROP HIM NEXT WEEK!

Play him again, it’s fucking up his career all this ‘great one week, out of the team the next week, back in two weeks later and has a shocker’!

When he plays like that, play him again in the next game!

If he gets dropped, it will be his own fault. Pep always says he picks whoever is best in training, and if you're not getting picked its because you're not performing Monday-Friday.

There is no Sané, no Silva, No Aguero, Mahrez has almost no competition for the spot this week - if he's not starting vs. Wolves, he's done something wrong.
