I hold my hands up — I thought he needed a long break on the bench to refocus, but he really just needed one game off and likely an arm around the shoulder from Pep.

Tot he was better against Fulham than he was against Burnley when he got a hat trick.

The mahrez we saw against Fulham is a must start. If he can put those performances in even 1 in every 3 games we will go far. Actually looked to link up with players, move off the ball and his first and only thought upon receiving the ball wasn’t just dribble until you lose it. A lot of credit has to go to cancelo, his movement and industry going forward made a lot of mahrez’s good moments possible.

With Cancelo on the right instead of Walker I feel like Mahrez felt like he didn’t have to do too much. It’s almost like his teammates know how limited Walker is going forward.
