Agreed.thought the same - it looked like his arm (but not his shoulder) was ahead of play when the ball was played but considering you cant score with your arm I thought that meant it would be onside

I was delighted with this because it said to me that Mahrez is exactly what he should be - a back-up. It would have been so easy for Pep to stick Sterling up front and give Mahrez his RW spot.

I really wanted Mahrez at the club but he has been a major disappointment. Individually he has been poor but more importantly, the team looks much worse when he is in it. His whole game is built around having half a dozen moments per game. When the moments pay off (Burnley) he looks a player, when they don't (most games) he is just a passenger.

Get rid.

Classic Mahrez performance tbh. Couple of great moments that had decisive results, but poor the rest of the time and not in sync with the rest of the team.

And a complete shithouse too, wimping out of every challenge.
