He's incredibly predictable. You know exactly what he's going to do. And sometimes he just does it so well no one can stop him. Great goal today.

It's objectively not an important game. It's less important than any cup game we have coming up, which is a KO game, and winning this game is no different to any of the other 14 league games remaining.

Before tonight, we needed to get about 30 points from 15 games. If we'd lost we'd need 30 points from 14 games.

Any individual league game now is not really that important and that's why Pep took this chance to rest people and rotate ahead of the CL and FA cup ties coming up.

One of his best performances in our shirt against Everton , he was a thorn in their side all evening and hs goal was breathtaking , he is sheer class when he is on this form

Mahrez is a very frustrating player, but he had a good game tonight and scored a wonderful goal. When he turns it on the lad has quality, but he needs to be more consistent.

Brilliant goal, frustrating player. If he gets sold at the end of the season really hope it's not to another Premier league team as Mahrez is THE archetype 'come back to haunt you' player.

Think he has a much better understanding with Bernardo than De Bruyne. De Bruyne's biggest move is the run between centre back and full back looking for the through ball from Mahrez which has worked well on occasion, but last season was completely figured out. Teams had players waiting for it, De Bruyne runs into a crowd leaving a big hole and Mahrez nobody to pass to so he has to go backwards. Bernardo moves around more and isn't so eager to deliver a ball into the box at every opportunity. Would be interesting to see Bernardo-Mahrez given a run with Cancelo behind them but probably won't happen with De Bruyne back.

I thought it was another typical mahrez performance. Lots of nothing but then a wonderfful goal and he came alive.

Thought he was poor first half and mentioned it in the match thread, much much better 2nd half though, that's what he's capable of.

Consistency is his biggest issue.
