Got to be a good thing. Everyone needs to call him shite/wank/ffs as much as possible and we should see some positive results. All our recent scapegoats have eventually turned out to be class. Down to you now Riyad.

I've never intensely disliked Mahrez.

He's making a habit of coming off the bench and immediately being the worst City player on the pitch, and that's a problem. Subs should come on and slot right in. One goal in 2021 is nowhere near good enough from a player who was once one of the best in the country.

When he comes on, his laid back demeanour is noticeable from a mile off. Most of our players bust a gut all game and he comes on bottling 50/50’s, not really threatening and just being shit in general. Our least exciting player.

I’m not really bothered about Mendy, he’s clearly not in Peps plans and will only play in the FA Cup. Mahrez on the other hand either starts or comes off the bench in every game we play, I get annoyed just looking at him with his farty gloves on.

Meh - I rather like Mahrez - he's able to create on the right and chips in with the occasional goal.

Amazing close control but only has one move when he's stuck out right i.e cut in left. I'd try him in the middle more .

Mendy at least looks like some of his crosses might connect. You know how Navas used to get pelters because most of his crosses hit the ankles of the nearest defender? Replace 'crosses' with 'shots' and you've got Mahrez this season. Where the ability he showed last year has gone is beyond me.

Noticeable that the minute he went off against Liverpool we improved and went on to score the three goals to win the game, two of which came from that side

If Gundog and KdB out, watch Pep play him down the middle and be a revelation. We are top of the league playing great footy and people still moan. He has a role in the TEAM.

Someone actually slagged him off in the matchday thread because he scored on the hour mark which presumably means it counts less or something? Never mind that it was a great finish and was the winning goal.

Typical Mahrez. His game gets worse and worse for an 60-70 minutes until he scores, and all the Mahrez fans pretend like he's god's gift and not been poor for most of the match. Then he plays well for 10-15 minutes and then when the game is won he turns into selfish Mahrez mode and just shoots on sight.

Every now and then he gets us over the line though. No point getting worked up about it, he's nowhere near the starting XI for important matches and will probably be gone in 6 months.
