26 | Savinho - 2024/25

Be interesting to see who gets his spot tomorrow. Most likely Bernardo or Phil pushed wider. I' wouldnt mind switching McAtee there and leave the older guys inside but imagine Pep will take the proven option.

If it's Kovacic and Gundo in the middle we could do with Phil playing for a bit more drive and goal threat centrally. Bernardo is also probably a better player defensively to help Rico out on the right. Would imagine it's quite fluid to try and create things. Get an early goal and that will help. Concede first and we might struggle.

Yes helping Rico is important as you say.

Fanny, there was fuck all up with him at spurs. Better get any thoughts of playing for Brazil in November out of his daft head. 2 week boot camp in the hills for him. Soft tart.

I agree he needs to toughen up a bit, but he did actually sprain his ankle in that Spurs game, you know? He didn't feel it initially but you could see him analysing both his ankles in the immediate aftermath and realising one was bigger than the other. It had very obviously swelled up and was causing him some discomfort. You've sprained your wrist or ankle before, right? When the adrenaline wears off the pain comes and it's searing, but you still expect it to subside... And then it doesn't, and you wonder if you've broken it.

Erling rolled it worse yesterday then got clattered 5 minutes later and completed the 90 anyway. Savinho is a fanny. Simple as.

Inverting the ankle is pretty much the most common injury. I could see where it happened when he was heading to take the corner. The fact he was pointing out the swelling is consistent with an ATFL sprain. I think he over reacted due to the swelling but some folk struggle to weight best after a minor sprain. Difficult to assess the pain level he was experiencing but I defo think he’s a soft shite regardless of that reaction. He’ll toughen up a bit and become a top prem winger or won’t like the physicality and will move on. Exciting player though.

Great player but it is a concern that this isn't the first game he's been taken off with an injury.

I think there's been a couple where he's gone off with injury, and a few where he's been taken off at half time.
