Left.. he barely played on the right at Girona, like 2 games I think, before that i dont know though. Maybe he will grow into playing on the right though, it can sometimes feel more complicated for a young winger. Opposite foot wing.
He and Miguel ran havoc in La Liga with Miguel inverting and Sav often stayed out wide with the aim to isolate him 1v1 and find Dovbyk in the centre, a similar (style) player to Haaland

Said in the pre-match thread I'd have started him but could understand why pep didn't as he likely wanted that game changing option from the bench that nobody else available would provide us with and he came on and displayed it almost instantly.

He's infinitely more effective when his game is simplified and Peps finally done that with him. Genuine star in the making just got to get him in sync with the side and toughen the little fanny up a bit and he's golden.

You have that spot on. Compared to when he first joined us is night and day. He was very good when he came on and once again changed the game. We may have another major player.

Thought it was a bottle job from pep to play the old men in midfield including bernardo out wide. Brugge were always gonna be camped in their own box a bit of Savinho magic always seemed a good bet

Possibly because Pep doubts his defensive talents. Which is ironic in view of our chaotic defending in the first half with the set up that presumably Pep did have faith in.
