Hopefully the goals he's scored recently help him lose the desperation he has to contribute.

Does he prefer the left or the right though?

Left.. he barely played on the right at Girona, like 2 games I think, before that i dont know though. Maybe he will grow into playing on the right though, it can sometimes feel more complicated for a young winger. Opposite foot wing.
He and Miguel ran havoc in La Liga with Miguel inverting and Sav often stayed out wide with the aim to isolate him 1v1 and find Dovbyk in the centre, a similar (style) player to Haaland

He could be as dangerous as Mahrez on the right if he gets shifted over there.

comes on at half time, creates the second and scores the third. why was he dropped to begin with again?

Said in the pre-match thread I'd have started him but could understand why pep didn't as he likely wanted that game changing option from the bench that nobody else available would provide us with and he came on and displayed it almost instantly.

He's infinitely more effective when his game is simplified and Peps finally done that with him. Genuine star in the making just got to get him in sync with the side and toughen the little fanny up a bit and he's golden.

Made the difference tonight. He still has more to learn, of course, but his fearlessness and guile will serve him (and us) very well. Hopefully for years to come!

Top class for the second and third goals. Shame with the one that was blocked on the line, I don't think he had the confidence to smash it from so far out but that will come. Thought it was a bottle job from pep to play the old men in midfield including bernardo out wide. Brugge were always gonna be camped in their own box a bit of Savinho magic always seemed a good bet

Changed the game and he should have started imo. Excellent performance and took his goal well. He should be starting on Sunday.

Possibly because Pep doubts his defensive talents. Which is ironic in view of our chaotic defending in the first half with the set up that presumably Pep did have faith in.

Looking forward to having Savinho and Marmoush either side of Haaland with Phil central.

Lots of pace and trickery but we need two central midfielders to help control the game and thwart counter attacks.
