Taking that ball on his chest to surge past the defender reminded me of vintage Sané
He’s started to look like Sane was doing in his first season after a few poor months settling (Sane). Only issue is with Marmoush he could be struggling for regular starts at the moment on the left. Saved us and Pep last night after his ridiculous decision to play with zero natural width or pace out wide.

You'd imagine next season we'll line up with 3 behind Haaland

With Rodri back I think we'll often line up with 3 behind Haaland, so that will be Savio, Marmoush, Foden and whoever replaces KDB primarily, with Doku, Bobb and McAtee as back up.

Should be plenty of game time for him.

Top class for the second and third goals. Shame with the one that was blocked on the line, I don't think he had the confidence to smash it from so far out but that will come. Thought it was a bottle job from pep to play the old men in midfield including bernardo out wide. Brugge were always gonna be camped in their own box a bit of Savinho magic always seemed a good bet
It was a strange decision not to start him.

I think he would do well as a RW too with someone like Nunes behind him. Look at that first match against Chelsea. He can definitely play either side.

Technically we can position ourselves so that neither Savio bothers Marmoush and vice versa, with the right midfielders (I took exemple Ederson? and Rodri here) our attack should function like a Swiss watch in various versions without fear of counterattacks

What's the consensus on his work rate and ability to track back? Something I have always found it difficult to work out. He seems to run a lot, but doesn't appear to be obviously helping the defense as much as say Grealish.

Could see he and Marmoush play at the same time.

Savio LW
Marmoush CAM
Foden RW

Nunes as RB tilts wide right letting Foden invert to be another CAM.

When he tries to find Haaland he finds him most of the time, should just stick to that when the ball is wide.
