City have had plenty of 'average' players down the years who were loved by fans due to their commitment and hardwork.

Unfortunately, Savinho doesn't seem to show either of these two traits and is the reason I believe many fans are getting on his back.

Thank fuck for that someone calling it as it is.
I don't want people getting on City players backs - but the lad has to knuckle down and realise he has to WORK for the team to start with. Bust a gut getting back to defend, and stop rolling around when someone sneezes on him.

Unfortunately, Savinho doesn't seem to show either of these two traits and is the reason I believe many fans are getting on his back. I think we could accept some of his sub par performances if he showed a little fight and bottle instead of whinging and wanting everything his own way.

He then has the audacity to throw his arms up to demand more from the fans despite him not bothering to do most things himself. It's a two-way street in my opinion and I'm sure if he worked a little harder for the team (or even just looked like he was interested in doing) most fans would not hesitate to get off his back and support him.

Last year's thread reads nothing like this one, which if it's just grown men turning up to explain their dislike for people they’ve never met and assuring everyone nothing could change their mind, it might as well be closed.

The main issues seem to be the fact he interacts with the fans, people don't like his face (not sure what he can do there), he's not particularly physical (like most 21 year old wingers aren't) and people have decided how each and every Brazilian will be for all eternity, no exceptions.



The above just sums up what most objective people can see. Great dribbler, suspringly creative passer for a winger, maybe more of a Grealish mould. Needs to work on his finishing for sure, composure being the thing that comes most with age and experience, and be more aware tracking back (personally i think he looks to be the out-ball on the counter too often).

I think any club desperate to get shot of a 21 year old winger with those strengths and weaknesses would be shortsighted at best.

I think he's been fairly disappointing to start the year but its 4 starts 5 subs so an average rating isn't the most indicative on that small a sample size (same for Cherki, Stones and Marmoush).
