so 4-3-3 (with Rico) is more safe for midfield than 3-4-3 with 3 centre-backs, 2 wingbacks, 2 holding midfielders and 2 attacking midfielders :D

We won treble with 3-4-3..

Difference is that we had Bernardo-Grealish and if you have listened Jack's interview, he basically said that during build-up Pep was instructing him to play LB, when Bernardo was instructed to play RB.
 
I was sure we would sell him to Spurs but he must be very highly rated within the club to turn down such an offer.

I don't see it myself to be honest. Has ability for sure but we need consistently good performances
 
I can understand he hasn't got his form back because he just came back from injury, but he definitely should have tracked back more to help Nico on the left side. Doku helped our defense throughout the whole game, and he didn't do that basically allowed United to cause chaos around the end of the game.
 
He'll be fine.

Last season he started brilliantly and then was inconsistent. This season, he is starting poorly, he is likely to have a great season :)
 
Absolutely puzzling the over reactions by some when he had a spell of 2 or 3 good games.

Words like Baller and class.

He's bang average and we should have snapped Spurs hands off.
 
I’m surprised at this thread, it’s normally Sav and Doku need to go now it’s only Sav, probably back to normal this week.
 
I was thinking him coming on would be a great opportunity (3 up in the derby and everyone in a forgiving mood).

But I wanted him on the right instead of a tiring Bernardo and to offer another threat on top of Haaland and Doku.

To switch him with Doku was not the best move imo. Especially when Doku is much better at helping in defense.

Hopefully in his next game he is a lot better.
 
Just back from injury so you can't judge him too harshly. Weak on the ball and poor defensively, but early days. He's 21 and got so much talent. Just needs time on the pitch. I still personally think he's someone we need to play predominantly in the CL where it's less physical and he can gain confidence.
