26 | Savinho - 2025/26

Poor lad was brought on to play left wing, but then immediately got told he was the left side of a 5-4-1 midfield, with Foden as a line striker! Surely, that would have been a better gig for Rico or Nunes?!

Anyone at the game and particularly sitting higher up in the gods couldn’t have failed to see his lack of effort. It was pitiful. Just run hard, close down, track back. It was shocking how little effort he put in.
Thought he looked poor, but he wasn't alone, in terms of control, the team performance dropped off a cliff in the last 15 mins...hopefully a just bit of rustiness, he can do so much better

Some soft fukers on this thread. Bet you’re the types who get all jealous and insecure when you think your missus gave a slight glance to another bloke.

Get behind the lad for fuck’s sake. Stop looking for things that aren’t there.

He wasn’t sulking whatsoever the other day. And he was putting effort in, he just didn’t play that well as he has played one half of football three months in Palermo and was just proper rusty.

15 minute cameo back from injury and ‘he’s fuckin wank’ and the rest if of it.

Some people jump to conclusions at every turn. Savinho will show they are wrong. But they won't learn from it.

Glad people are sticking up for him, he was poor, but like people have said, he's been injured and barely played.

I do still have doubts over him, but this game (which we won) isn't going to play any part over whether he makes it with us long term.

That said, I wondered if playing on the right was holding him back last season, so was excited when he came on on the left. I thought it was a real chance for him to use his pace and get at united, but there wasn't a sniff of that happening unfortunately.

Hopefully he starts on the left v Napoli as I see the Arsenal game as more important at this moment in the season

The combination of him barely playing so far and being probably nervous due to allegedly agreeing a move to Spurs, plus us being tired in the last 20 minutes or so played a role. He's likely to do much better in a week or two.

Agree that there's reasons, but he definitely does need to do better than Sunday, or he'll end up somewhere worse than Spurs next season...! :D

From his post online he clearly knows it too, and I'm sure he will do better, but it could even take a month or so until he's back properly I guess.

Savinho doesn't look like a fighter, which invites doubts about his future in the PL. But that's the case with many other technical players, say, like Rodrygo. Mahrez wasn't a fighter either, but he was a top player and helped us compete. At Savinho's age, Mahrez looked very far from having a successful career at top level.

Poor lad getting threatened with a move to United.
