26 | Savinho - 2025/26

I'd say there is a good chance we might now accept this offer but I don't think Soriano will be too worried, whatever happens.
He's been after this multi club model shite since he was at Barca, it is his brainchild. If the most successful product of it over 10 years only plays for city for 18 months before getting sold, then it's not a ringing endorsement of that particular model.

I think he'll be worried a little.

Judging by your reply I'm guessing you're thinking of a different denilson?
I mean the left winger from around 97/98 who used to do about 10 step overs to try and beat his man,and 90% of the time failed.
Savinho reminds me of him, they both have the same attributes.
All fur with no knickers
Im thinking of exactly that one, the one who won the World Cup & was capped 61 times by one of the best Brazilian teams we ever witnessed. He was 1 million times better than Savinho. In fact I'd take the fat old Denilson that failed a trial at Bolton over of Savinho.

Nar I'm not having it,he was wank,
Betis payed a world record fee for him and realised they bought a dud after 6 months,a one trick pony, only his tricks never worked.btw I didn't say savinho was better just he reminded me of denilson.
Anyway we'll agree to disagree.

Just checked Dennilson’s wiki page. his first season with 35 games and two goals. So 2 goals in year one, seems they are pretty similar!

I didn’t watch much of Dennison outside of the World Cup so can’t comment much but he should never have gone there. Betis weren’t ready for such a player from memory

Stories that spurs might come back for him in January. If we don't take the cash, I'm soriano out.

If I worked for the club I’d take the bag of money and then drive off like this:

I’ve been very critical of him recently but he does have something in there.

He’s at the wrong club. Maybe Spurs or Chelsea would be better for him. He looks like he’s scared of making a mistake snd therefore can’t express himself. Probably got a bollocking from Pep after that debut. Reminded me of the Grealish situation, went from very exciting to average!

I personally do think so too that he’s scared to make mistakes since we are so obsessed with having possession. Strongly believe Estevao wouldn’t excel for us

He's got his own fans booing him and singing how they hate him.

Probably not the ideal way to bring confidence back to a 21 year old.

Playing wide for us is becoming one of the toughest roles in football. Isn't no surprise that Doku has taken off now that he's having more freedom to move infield. It's different when only pinned to the touchline.

I was among those who supported his move to Tottenham last summer. It wasn't a question of talent; I'm generally lenient with players, especially those in their first season – it's never easy. But I explained that it was his attitude and mentality that shocked me. The fact that he agreed to a move to Tottenham after just one season at a club like Manchester City under Guardiola made me doubt him and his ambition. I quickly realized he lacked ambition and wasn't willing to put in the effort to improve.

That said, once he stayed and extended his contract, I had no choice but to support him. But he absolutely must make an effort, particularly to learn the language, in order to integrate well into the group and build relationships with his teammates. It's unacceptable that after a year and a half here, he only speaks to Nunes in the squad. I suppose he can't communicate with the others because of the language barrier.
During training sessions open to the media, I observe him, and he seems like an outsider within the team.

I've read and heard many stories about players, each with their own personality, and some find match days complicated because they aren't happy within the group. But as soon as there's a new player of the same nationality or who speaks the same language, they've seen a radical change on the pitch, a significant improvement. That's why some agents say about players who fail at one club and succeed at another, "There are no bad players, only bad circumstances." I hope he'll make the necessary effort to at least learn the language to successfully integrate into the group.
Good post that, and I like the quote about no bad players, only bad circumstances..
That made me think.

Problem is with him on the bench he’s blocking the pathway of a hungrier academy player who is probably more suited to play for city within a few years such as Mukasa or Mcaidoo

Problem with him is he’s completely ineffective and him constantly being picked to play is stopping us winning games! As well as his new contract making it unlikely we try and sign someone else like Semenyo who’d instantly improve us.

not sure hes stopping us from winning games, 15 appearances 2 games lost when hes featured, 2 drawn and 11 wins, he is such a frustrating player, lets hope he can turn it round, but i think he is skating on very thin ice(my pedigree chum)
