26 | Savinho - 2025/26

I was counting the city shirts the last 10mins. I was convinced someone had been sent off, but no it was just this bone idle lad wandering around.

Took his shirt off at the end and thought he was going to give it to the kid next to me but I guess he’s just packing back in his bag, can wear that one on Sunday. Wouldn’t even have a crease in it

I don't want to see him on the pitch again - he nearly cost us that match- with 2 mins of normal time left he was given a great opportunity from an Erling header and with one man to beat he fell over again, then with 3 mins of injury time left he bombs forward without any control, loses it cheaply and doesn't even try to get back. He was terrible and you cannot convince me he'll ever be anything but gash for us.
He also gave it away needlessly on the left touch line for one of their goals

I’ve never seen a substitute consistently come on the pitch and bring such a lack of intensity in everything they do. He’s a young player who should be full of running and energy. Shite

Come on he still was given the ball in acres of space multiple times and lost it easily which put the entire team in trouble. His effort to stop the corner - when everyone could see we were not great at defending them - was piss poor too.

That cameo was a shocker - I know there is a player in there but it seems to me that since the Spurs interest he is playing for himself and not for the team. Several lost their heads tonight including our skipper who was equally poor but to say that was a good appearance is wrong. He could and should have added energy after not playing at the weekend.

Statistically he was a net positive. For me he did ok. I thought he put in a lot of effort, made smart passes, and retrieved the ball well enough with smart positioning. Great cross for Haaland too. Annoyed me he lost the couple of dribbles, still seems not to believe in his ability to beat guys.

For me 6.5 / 10 would be about right.

I feel like he's not being given the leeway of a 21 year old attacker because a large portion of the this thread is people coming in here to vent hatred.

Agree 100% he should be doing everything he can to prove Pep wrong for putting him on the bench instead he is getting worse with each game. Yes he did deliver one cross for Erling but that is what he's paid to do - doesn't matter if for the rest of his appearance he costs us dear.

He gave it away, yes, but the goal came like 30 seconds later. Our out-of-possession defending is abysmal. We should be able to lose the ball and defend well enough consistently to get it back.

Oh yeah there was a long passage of play before the goal, but it’s still a cheap turnover of possession

does not have the quality; there were 2 counter-attacking opportunities that he wasted, but he was not the main culprit today

This is not hatred, nothing personal at all - the stick he gets is because he has scored 1 goal in over 40 pl appearances. I know last season he got 9 assists but with the amount of quality possession he gets in our team those stats are pretty much expected. 21 or 25 he is paid very, very well to do this job. His lack of effort tonight cost us 2 goals and we were very fortunate to get the win which is a crazy statement when you score 5 goals away from home. Compare if you will the impact of the two wide men Fulham brought on - given his skill level that would be the kind of impact we should expect from him. He was bobbins.

It's easy when youre not just watching to hate.

I don't even think he's incredible, I only came in the thread to defend him a bit early days and now it's actually insane. People are literally ignoring Nico going off to attack Sav.

If you like being in the set of fans making up songs about how you hate your own players there you go.
Wait what happened ?

I get the perspective but expected or not he got more assists than anyone else. I think "cost us 2 goals" is pretty exaggerated, I doubt we'd have even conceded if Nico had stayed on.

His finishing needs to improve, completely agree.

With the skill in dribbling and passing as a 21 year old he's worth persisting with for me.

Did Txiki "have eyes"? Pep? Soriano?

Do you never wonder why he's one of very few trusted players to come off the bench? Why we didn't sell him? Why Pep plays him on either wing instead of the other options?

Did fine when he came on, mixed bag going forwards, worked hard, pressed, made good interceptions, was inconsistent on the dribble, thought he might have got a foul off Bassey but he didn't.

The fact so many of you are so blinded by disliking the lad that you think Nico for Stones had less impact on midfield control than Doku for Savinho is crazy to me.
He literally did none of those things. Lazy, disinterested, self absorbed, chicken hearted, and ruined one counterattack after another. And before you start with the “blinded with hate” bullshit, I wanted him to stay in the summer. He needs a nuclear missile up his arse

I very rarely go on the Player Performance forum. I came on tonight to check it wasn't just me.

Savinho, if you're reading this, please please please fook off to Spurs.

Hopefully the £70m offer is still on the table. But if we have to pay Spurs more than so be it.

I think you only count as "blinded by hate" if you excitedly state how you hate him, so fair play.

I genuinely doubt Pep is that annoyed with him right now.

Foden at 21 - 14 goals and 11 assists
Sane at 21 - 14 goals and 19 assists
Jesus at 21 - 17 goals and 4 assists
Sterling at 21 - 10 goals and 10 assists

Savinho at 21 is nowhere near these levels, he's weak, struggles to beat players and doesn't defend from the front.

But other than that, he's great.
