This is the bigger picture. Every single player makes mistakes but what goes against Cancelo is that some of his errors are absolute head-scratchers. It’s usually a “WTF are you doing Cancelo?” situation. Others make mistakes that you forget about within seconds of it happening.

The bigger picture is that he is a fucking unreal footballer with the stats to back it up. I love him.

Last 2 years Rodri had some of those questionable decisions as well, even with godly stats to back him up.

Now Rodri still has godly stats without those quesitonable decisions and is just Godri.

Cancelo is the best outlet in world football as a fullback, just so complete. With the questionable decisions reduced in his defense, he is simply the best fullback period.

Let's highlight his defensive stats, for many on here seem to think he can't defend: most tackles, most interceptions, most duels won, most aerial duels (!!!) won. Can't defend!
