He's had so many decent games that im beginning to conclude decent games are a constant in his repertoire. :)

Given we're likely to have a lot of churn by the start of next season and we'd probably not get much for him, I'm not against keeping him around as a backup/squad rotation option.

Could come in handy for some cup games etc.

As I said previously he was a panic buy and not really up to our standards but thinking about it, having him stick around another season then move on wouldn't be a disaster.

Excellent performance from him on Saturday. Was always moving into positions to get on the ball and some lovely passing to create opportunities. Most of our best work had him at the heart of things. Still too soon to write him off.

There's a certain group of fans who've just decided Nunes is the whipping boy, hate his guts, will never give him credit for playing well, and have decided he's the symbol of the team's mediocrity. Why? What has he done other than preform pretty well every time he was asked? They can't even hide the hatred they have for him. On his back whenever he has a bad game but will dance around muted compliments when he delivers MOTM performances. Disgusting to see imo

I think he is a better player than Grealish, if he was offered the same opportunities as grealish he would show this.
I know he had a stinker vs the rags but that again was out of position.
I feel for him and I bet he will leave and go on to show his potential.

He made a horrible error vs then. Otherwise he was pretty decent.

IMO, he is our best RB option right now ( Quicker, stronger & more skillfull than Rico )

The one advantage Rico has over him is he play better in the middle.


If anyone can put a comparison between Rico and Nunes, that will be appreciated.

Rico can't do that. Nunes passing is so extremely underrated.

He may not be as good as Cancelo, but he is close.

His passing and carrying ability is absolutely up there with some of the top players in europe.

Strong defensively, very fast, dangerous offensively, crosses the ball well. He just played his, what, 2nd match ever at RB and looked very well overall. Big upgrade on both Kyle and Rico.

Did very well, strong and fast, offered much more than walker or Lewis. He's going to make mistakes there because it's not his position but I've not seen a better option at right back. Should have shot and scored from that chance he had. No idea why he didn't but we don't even get that chance if it was anybody else other than Nunes because nobody else can make that run. Put one on a plate for Haaland too. Very good game from him.

Im hoping he can take this in stride and get even better.

Lewis with this rest now his competition for the inverted fullback, I hope he goes to a higher level as well.

At some point he was our best LW. He is clearly our Swiss army knife, made in Portugal and born in Brazil.

Obviously not a RB but was fine overall, should've done far better for that chance in the first half though, we have too many players who are terrible inside the box, he's still our best crosser of the ball after Kev.
