He was excellent today. We all know he’s not the long term answer at RB but I maintain that he is currently our best option there. Yeah he’s braindead and yeah, he will make fuck ups but when you consider the alternative option(s), he has to play. Miles better than Rico.

Decent today, all though suspect defensively. Probably not good enough but has some upside and is a fighter which is appreciated at the moment

I understand there’s pre formed opinions on him, but how on earth was he anything other than defensively solid tonight. Not only was he solid, he produced some moments of outstanding defending.

Brilliant tonight. Made numerous goal saving tackles/blocks. Was excellent on the ball carrying it very well, constantly offered the under lap, a really strong all round motm performance.

How have some found a way to criticize that performance?

He was great, and made a big chance.

He is nowhere near perfect, but he also barely plays to get rhythm, and his biggest problem which is mistakes was not costly, he even was vital to stop some chances.

Happy with that.

He was good, and I form my opinions on him as a defender to a much lower standard for obvious reasons. But in my opinion, while I happily can go along with solid you can absolutely see that he isn't a defender. He backed off Odobert loads and gave him the space to create something often. What he is though is a great worker and much better footballer than given credit for.

2nd half played only at full back and wasn’t given much help by Savinho

Rock solid at the back. Fantastic going forward as well. Incredible overall. I want to see him as our RB in every game. I don't get why Pep dropped him to begin with. He offers us more at RB than any other player we have for that position.
