I'm not shitting on him, I mentioned him because he's the one competing with Nunes for the position. Can we praise Nunes without shitting on our homegrown 19 year old? Geez.

Lewis is a better passer. Sees the field better. Reads the defensive line better. Takes better angles when defending, is more in sync with the defenders and he is a better outlet for the ball.Is there a single thing that Lewis is better than him at ? maybe Rico keeps the ball a bit better but that's about it, Nunes is better in every other department so should be the starting RB until we buy one.
He can actually defend. Even if ge was 'most dribbled passed ' it would simply be because he showed up 1 v 1 moreOverall a good game today though he'd be a much better as a wingback as he can't defend(most dribbled past player on the pitch today). He has good engine, is our fastest player and has a superb cross.
Who is this Lewis fella you are referring to? He sounds like a superstar.Lewis is a better passer. Sees the field better. Reads the defensive line better. Takes better angles when defending, is more in sync with the defenders and he is a better outlet for the ball.
Im short, Lewis is a smarter footballer. Even if not as athletic, dynamic or as good putting in crosses. They bring different qualities.
I am absolutely comfortable with both
Could turn out to be the next Zinchenko type - a decent squad player who can play a couple of positions reasonably (something Pep has always liked). I've always said there's a decent player in him given time/chances.Motm for me. Defended very well against their best threat, played his part in build up and was easily our most creative outlet due to his willingness to actually move off the ball, creates our only chance first half then creates the breakthrough goal. Someone will no doubt find a way to criticise though as a large portion of those who have made him the scapegoat refuse to change their view. I maintain that he has got everything pep wants a fullback to have, only thing he lacks is experience there.

Pep doesn't want FB's though, he wants midfielders reliable enough defensively that he can put there or centre backs competent enough on the ball that he can put there.Could turn out to be the next Zinchenko type - a decent squad player who can play a couple of positions reasonably (something Pep has always liked). I'm old school though and want FBs to be FBs first and foremost - if we weren't in such a scramble I'd like to see what he can offer in the middle.
