Not his fault for the penalty. Or ... if it was his fault then there's no problem with that.

IMO he should be playing further forward as much as possible anyway and encouraged to attack without fear of losing the ball. We don't need more petrified players.

Delighted he got the winner but he was at fault, again, for an opposition goal.
Yeah ignore the player who clumsily gave away a stupid foul in the box and blame the guy who lost possession up the other end of the pitch beforehand. Makes perfect sense.

It's very noticable only certain players get blamed for goals regardless of whether their involvement in it was direct or not. If the roles were reversed and Dias gave the ball away up the pitch and Nunes made the foul, would you be blaming Dias?

Dias has been pretty poor lately and nunes is just average in everything he does, still a great goal and very very important one.

lol. Open your eyes, he’s been at fault for a number of goals this year.

Open eyes would also see that he has made a number of telling contributions, and his goal involvement is higher than almost anyone in the team. There is not a player who doesn't make the odd error, and we could easily single out the odd superstar for giving the ball away continually in recent games.
It is an unfortunate part of our fanbase that certain players are singled out for criticism, and those who choose that path regularly fail to also see the positives.
He is a player who has been in no way our worst performer of the season, and one who is improving in an unfamiliar role. Surely, we all support that.

Who hasn't? Last night wasnt one of them.

My eyes are wide open, I see a player that's 4th in the assists charts this season playing from positions he isn't accustomed to. I see a player who has much needed pace and energy, Who actually makes runs off the ball. I see somebody who gives his all every game, doesn't moan about lack of minutes or playing somewhere he's not used to and is improving with every game.

We don't win our last 2 games without him and champions league next season is gone. He's potentially rescued the club his entire transfer fee. That's what I see but you keep on looking for any minor inconsequential mistakes and pile the blame that belongs to other players on him if you want to continue to make him the scapegoat. His performances this season only make his hardened critics look clueless.

Nunez is someone everyone can’t wait to hate on, even if he does something amazing like last night when he scored a last minute winner to put us in the driving seat for UCL qualification, the majority of the fan base are quiet in their praise, just waiting for him to have a bad game. The total opposite of how the fanbase treat jack Grealish- Loud in his praise, when he put in an above average level performance once every 13 games, but quiet when he didn’t score a single fucking goal in 2024.

Not sure if it's hate , but I agree with the general sentiment. In balance he has been one of our better players the last 3 months or so.

Weird how a city fan would go in on Grealish. Weird how a city fan would quote the stat of how many he scored in a year when he was injured and played the equivalent of about ten games in that period. It shows you have an agenda whilst crying about agendas.

Nunes is ok, I imagine you didn't scream from the rooftops when Grealish put us in the driving seat against Leicester recently, but will use a goal to change a narrative to suit yours. Nunes is doing a job in a position he isn't comfortable in. He is praised for his goal and called out for passing the ball to the opposition a lot. He is our best option at right back and he deserves credit but isn't good enough for a top level side. Simple. To add it into context with your Grealish hate, I couldn't imagine Nunes being an ever present in a treble winning side.

Nunes' problem is that City fans are simply used to watching better players than him.

It isn't that he's awful, he's just an average PL player who'll do something good followed by something bad.

But when you're used to watching players ranging from very good like Akanji and Kova to world class like KDB and Rodri, average players are infuriating.

Weird why you think a city fan shouldn't go in on grealish considering he has had 1 "good" season in 4 despite being our record signing. Also using his injuries as an excuse for not scoring in a whole year is embarrassing in itself, considering the widespread reports of his unprofessionalism outside of the pitch and Pep constantly mentioning he needs to work harder to get into the team.

Nunes has contributed more to the team this season playing out of position, than Grealish, and it would not surprise me if Nunes was here next season and Grealish wasn't.

Are you thick? He cannot score if he is injured you fucking idiot. It's like saying Rodri has had a stinker goal wise this season, do you see how stupid that would sound. In that year he played about 10-15 games maximum. Whilst that is still obviously a bit crap it isn't like the 70 plus games that took place during that year but everybody jumped on the fake news, like the Murphy one recently, that Murphy has more goals and assists this season than Jack in the last 5 years. Completely and utterly not true but the mentally challenged like yourself lap it up.

1 good season out of 4 which resulted in the best in the clubs history, currently beats 0 good seasons out of 2 for Nunes. Grealish won't be here next year, Pep isn't having him clearly. When played Grealish has been decent this season, then found himself out the team. Again, you want to go in on a player who is getting next to no minutes and laud a man who single handedly lost us the derby. I wasn't even going in on Nunes too much, he has done a job, a job for the lesser level e have played at this season and if we rely on the likes of him again next season then you best strap in for a bumpy journey.

Why are you acting like Grealish would have put up big numbers had he not been injured? The most he has scored in a single PL season for CIty is 5 goals. And he had gone over a year without scoring in the PL at one point. That is a FACT. Whether you like it or not. Both embarrassing facts for a winger that is supposed to be in his prime footballing years playing for City, regardless of injuries.

Congratulations he has beaten Matheus Nunes for number of good seasons. I'd have hoped so considering he cost double the money. That is how low the bar is for our record signing.

See how I can reply without resorting to insults multiple times like a child? Will be sad the day Grealish leaves the club, but delighted if all the Grealish fanboys like you leave with him.
