This is such a weird lie to tell. His performances decidedly range from excellent to very poor, with very few in between. But i dont know why you are saying that at his best, he is average. we've all seen how well he can play, this is bizarre.

This forum's hate boner is nothing short of obsessive, go to therapy
I have no reason to lie, I don't hate the lad & i don't need any therapy.

This is a discussion platform where people give their opinions & I'm personally waiting to see him play an excellent game as you have suggested.
I've seen him play enough now for City to determine his qualities & the fact is he's just not good enough for our squad.
& I doubt very much that he would get a regular starting place in the current Wolves team atm.

Yes he's average at best though it's just my opinion!

Now are you genuinely convinced of this ;)??
I think you'll find there's 2 schools of thought:
1) the club and players can do no wrong, and all you moaning ofcs should stick to reading newspapers and stay off that interweb thingy.
2) the club and players can't do anything right and we're all doomed. The National League is in view in the next 5 seasons.
In jest obviously - but the match day threads are pretty bipolar in that respect :D
Anyway back to happy clapping I go

Would be crazy to sell
Hmm.

I'd be in agreement but then again, if we were to get our money back and use that for a proper RB, then that would be super.

But selling him just because would be nuts. He's been very valuable this season.

One thing we should all recognise by now is buying one good player for a position like right back is all well and good but players can't play 70 games and we suffer injuries all the time.
He can play in a few positions so unless he wants to go he should be kept imho. Also not all new signings work out. Some of our January lot can't even get a game.

He will score 3 goals and make 1 mistake and some will still claim he had a bad game
He won't score 3 goals though will he? but he most certainly will make at least 1 mistake. He's been no worse and arguably better that Lewis in that position but in truth neither are the answer there. Oh and he needs a new cobbler, the amount of times he's slipped lately.

Ironically he’s almost never been played in the position he was bought for.

For me, that speaks volumes

Would Guardiola have turned to him at right-back had Walker chosen to remain and stayed fit? Is he in situ now on merit or because the other options are unfit/inexperienced? Could he be sold for substantial cash this summer, or could he only ever be a makeweight? Can he be improved to become a trustworthy option at right-back (i.e. starting and coping against Liverpool/Arsenal/top European sides), and can he be improved sufficiently to become a viable alternative elsewhere on the pitch (i.e. one of the first off the bench)?

Just being the Devil’s Advocate. I couldn’t answer any of those questions with great confidence, in truth, but I suspect that simply because we will be dealing with so many other players this summer, he’ll still be here in 25-26.

Not just your opinion.
I’ve seen some very weird claims about this player.
He is a damn poor right back (granted it’s not a position he’s played in before). He’s absolutely average to awful in midfield, and definitely won’t get to play there when we are back at full strength.
I hope we offload him but we will get nothing like what we paid for him.
He was a mistake, but these things happen.
Everyone can express an opinion and mine is that this lad is not good enough for the premier league, let alone our team.

This guy is good enough to start for currently the 3rd team in the PL and has as many goal involvements as KdB and more than Bernardo while playing mostly in a defensive role.

Thereby highlighting just a couple of the problems at City this season.

I've grown to quite like the lad for his effort, but when we've reached the point where fans are saying that Matheus Nunes is one of our most effective players, it's definitely time to start worrying.

The only thing 'elite' about him is his wage packet.
