27 | Matheus Nunes - 2025/26

Protected his face with his hands. No need for his hands to be up should be fully focused on getting tight and defending.

I dont think he did, think for some reason when he turned quickly his arms were up, think he was trying to get them back down when the ball hit him.

Sounds odd describing it this way as it suggests he's not totally in control of his arms, but sometimes he's not totally in control of his feet or his brain, so.....

I've tried to see the positives in Nunes playing right-back, and still do to some extent. But at this point in the season, if we bring in another keeper and not a right-back tomorrow, it's a huge mistake.

Mr Brain Fart - hasn't got the brains for his own midfield position and hasn't got the brains to play at the back or for that matter anywhere for City - really , really needs to go - imagine playing him in a really important match / final ! He simply can't be trusted.

Hard to tell at the match but was his arm in an unnatural position or making his body larger. Seemed to be smacked at speed towards him and almost impossible not to be hit.

Excellent for an hour against a very good winger then does something completely brain-dead which costs us three points.

Nunes in a nutshell, isn't it?

Yep, very Otemendi

I don’t agree that he was good, until he wasn’t but let’s say you’re right. This isn’t the first time or the second time…

He’s not and accident waiting to happen he’s and accident that *has* happened many times

He should go and play for somebody else

A classic Nunes performance.
Yep, played OK for an hour, then a typical brain fart costs us a goal, it's as regular as clockwork unfortunately, and why he shouldn't be trusted.

I assume he doesn't watch much football, because if he did, he'd know by now that that will always be a penalty, it shouldn't be when smashed at your face from 2 or 3 yards, but that's football these days.
