27 | Matheus Nunes - 2025/26

Obviously the pen was just poor from him.

He didn't need to protect his face like that.

But he was actually playing well, the best of the fullbacks who played today and subbing him off disrupted the back line and they scored the 2nd.
 
Baffles me that people come onto a players own thread and moan that other players aren't being talked about.
 
he is not a RB. and imo not worse than if we would stick Kovacic to RB or Reijnders or Cherki to RB. the fault is at whoever pushing this idea that he can play RB. he can but at a very poor level. the odd nice run, good tackle doesnt make a difference. even Haaland would get a few tackles right from RB and make a nice run and cross once in a while from deep.

We lost coz of Pep, a turgid attack and errors from Khusa and just bad football there after.

People are looking for their usual scapegoats. Nunes waa not the problem today. No mTfer how much some of you pretend players don't make mistakes during games except for Nunes.

He's fucking awful. You have no idea about football if you rate this guy. He makes an incredible number of mistakes.

What did he do well? Passing the ball to the Brighton players or do we get points for him slipping on the pitch?

Let’s not kid ourselves. This guy is shit and will remain shit. He only plays because we somehow have another clown to rival him at RB.
 
Another highlight of how bad our recruitment has been now for 3/4 years. Meanwhile the sporting directors gives themselves a pat on back.

Of course he's the problem. He totally changes the game by giving away a penalty because he's too much of a pussy to let the ball hit him. Just like the multiple occasions last season where he got embarrassed by a winger, ran back and emptied them in the box.

He's not got what it takes between the ears. He's not a good enough footballer to make up for these mistakes. He's unfortunately emblematic of the decline in quality of our squad. Pep knew he wasn't up to it after weeks - he was a panic buy because we failed to sign our top 3 targets - he did a job out of position last season when we had nobody else (and because he did less damage out wide than in the middle). So why the fuck is he still here?
 
Lewis has everything but the athleticism,
Nunes has the athleticism and nothing else.

Sell Nunes, need to sign a new right back asap.
