3 arrested in connection with Paul Massey's murder

Well I could answer that but it'd involve saying whether I think they are guilty or not and I'm not doing that until the verdict is in.

I just don't understand why they thought they'd get away with it.

The clerk asks the jury foreman if they have reached any verdicts upon which they are all agreed.

The foreman says they have not.

Justice Davis says they have been out for 25 hours and 50 minutes.

He says because they have been in retirement for a very substantial time, quite rightly because it is a difficult and complicated case, he can now take a verdict that is not the verdict of all of them.

They must retire and see if they can reach a verdict upon which they are all agreed.

If they cannot, then verdicts can be returned that are 10-2 or 11-1.

At least 10 of them must agree.
