Could see mistakes starting to creep in a game or 2 ago, but he wasn't going to play every game immaculately forever. Good news is it didn't cost us and hopefully it was just one to get out of the way

Error? Was never pen

It was a pen.

I don't know if people are actually deluded because of club biases or if they just want to pretend that grabbing someone's arm with both hands to hold them back isn't a penalty, but that was a penalty. It's soft, Salah dived, milked it, made sure he got the decision, whatever, but Dias has no business pulling him back when Stones was in a good position to cover.

He panicked because he knew he'd fucked up trying to backheel a clearance.

Like @Zin 'messiah' Zimmer says I'm sure he's the kind of player who will learn from it but put it behind him immediately.

Players are not machines. They all make mistakes. Not only has he been brilliant but perhaps he’s lucky as well. He finally makes an error and we win 4-1 at Anfield.

Maybe he's human after all!

I think it was a soft(ish) pen but can't have too many complaints about it being given, it was of his own making, poor clearance attempt and looked like Stones had it covered.

Despite that he had a solid game. His influence is so noticeable.

Absolute leader, he had a very good game. Yeah the pass wasn't great to let Salah in, but wasn't a pen and Stones had it covered. But Pep said this, mistakes will happen playing from the back, we'll concede the odd goal but we'll score a lot more. After their goal, it didn't stop him from playing it out, he carried on.

The partnership him and Stones have is brilliant and I've heard they've become good friends. That's what we want. As much as I love Laporte, hard to see him getting the big games now.
