Thought it was his worst game so far, but still mostly did well.

Two or three misplaced passes, one belted out for a throw-in when under no pressure first half.

But felt for him with the penalty, that diving rat Salah deserves a retrospective flogging (which he won’t get). Although, if Dias had just laid it back to Ederson instead of trying a little clever flick, that situation wouldn’t have happened.

Saying that, Zinchenko was nowhere to be seen and Dias was only covering there!

I actually thought his worst game was against Burnley but he got away with his errors. Yesterday he did one major fuck up but got punished. Don’t think he was trying to be clever yesterday but should have just trusted his left foot to belt it away.

Couple of average to poor games but absolutely outstanding overall so far for us.

There wasn’t an error, shameful dive and there wasn’t a single replay. He will take it personally and we won’t concede again for a while. We shackled their entire team. Anfield curse is lifted.
I'm afraid that Dias actually made two errors for the Liverpool goal: he didn't handle the through ball correctly, although that may in part have been one of the downsides of being a right footer playing LCB, and then compounded it by a lack of composure in grabbing at Salah when he should have trusted to Stones and Eddie. Salah's dive was typical of Liverpool's wide men but you know it's coming and won't get turned over by VAR: technically an infringement was committed by Ruben.

Anyone who thinks that making a mistake makes him any less the best defender in the league, I've got some really bad news about Van Dijk...

Even the best defenders of all time fuck up a few times a season.

Did he have a bad game? No! I’m surprised at the comments I see on this thread. In the first half, he snuffed out every thing that came his way. Granted his error led to their equalizer but that was about it. You have to be proud when you face the “best attacking trio in Europe” and they can only get precious little from you.

'Average' 'poor'

Am i seeing things?

The lad is quality and he hasn't dropped below an 8/10 in any game, including yesterday.

Absolutely, putting a hand on an opposition player in the box, however light,in this era of shithousery and cheating,is inadvisable as it proved......but lets not pretend Salah wasnt anything bit an absolute **** again and only because of such was the penalty awarded.

Dias will have that in the bank now,and ultimately it didnt affect fuck all.

The Dippers had been resting players for two weeks for this game and they played a virtually first choice team , and yet we only conceded a couple of shots and they "won" a penalty , our back four where all superb and gave the Dippers next to f*ck all , to criticise Dias because a cheating slime ball like Salad wins a penalty is ultra critical.
Dias had his usual solid game and yes he does sometimes put the ball in row Z and Stones now also does the same thing , neither of them f*ck about if there is a whiff of danger , hence we have the best defence in europe.

Was actually shocked there to see dias was born in 1997!! 23 years old, can't believe how mature this kid comes across, a born leader! Hopefully he sticks around for 10 years he'll be a club legend some day.

Am I right in thinking that he will be eligible for young player of the year this year?

Zinchenko was following instructions and was were he was supposed to be. Our CB's routinely cover for Zink and Cancelos positioning and have done it successfully until that instance. Completely agree with you re Salah. He will continue to do it until stopped by officials. That means we can expect to see it for some time yet.
